Job summary

Englefield, Inc. in Ohio is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading daily operations, coaching team members, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will handle staffing, scheduling, inventory, and shift leadership, mentor staff, ensure cleanliness and safety, and step in during absences to drive performance and compliance, while building strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in retail or food service.
• Ability to lead, coach, and deliver customer service.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, and store systems.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• ServeSafe certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support store operations including staffing, inventory, and shift leadership.
• Coach and train team members to deliver friendly, efficient service.
• Ensure the store stays clean, safe, and customer-ready.
• Step in to lead when the Store Manager is away to help drive performance goals and maintain compliance standards.
