Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Georgia LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, supervise associates, and help maintain a clean, safe retail environment.

The role requires reading and interpreting directives, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team. Prior retail or grocery management is preferred, with emphasis on customer service and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
