Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead a clean, customer-first store. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, process deposits, and support profitability while protecting assets.

You will also perform stocking and cashier duties, train employees, manage schedules, and help implement planograms while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise handling, receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Assist with planograms and merchandising presentation.
• Ensure cash handling integrity, deposits, refunds, and overrides."
• Assist in store operations in Store Manager's absence.
