Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead a high-performing retail team and execute a profitable store business plan. You will be the link between the brand vision and in-store execution, driving profitable sales growth across Customer Operations, Merchandising, Product Operations and talent development.

You will coach behaviors that deliver a best-in-class customer experience, manage budgets, forecast staffing, and build capable teams. Travel may be required to support multi-site operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail leadership experience.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to deliver results.
• Strong communication with customers and employees.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Willing to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze results and drive KPIs with leadership team.
• Forecast and schedule to drive profitable sales.
• Manage store budget in support of P&L.
• Build productive teams through recruiting and development.
• Coach and give feedback to improve performance.
• Teach and train to build capabilities.
