Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking a Full-Time Retail Store Associate for the Ankeny South location. You will greet customers, accept donations, sort and merchandise items, and operate the cash register with friendly, values-driven service.

Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends is required. Starting wage is $15.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 hourly premium on weekend shifts, plus monthly bonus eligibility and annual merit increases based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or currently in progress.
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to carry, lift, push or pull 40 pounds.
• Effective communication and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and engage with customers in a friendly manner.
• Receive donations from the public.
• Sort donations and merchandise, ensuring quality meets standards.
• Operate the cash register and balance cash as scheduled.
• Keep sales floor organized and merchandise rotated for easy access.
