Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking Retail Store Associates to welcome customers, process donations, sort merchandise, and ring up sales with accuracy and care. The role emphasizes friendly service, teamwork, and maintaining store presentation.

The position is full-time with shifts across days, evenings, and weekends. Starting wage is $15.00/hour plus $1.00/hour on weekend shifts, plus opportunities for bonuses and merit increases based on performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to lift 40 pounds.
• Availability to work days, evenings and weekends.
• Clear communication and basic math skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and engage with customers on the sales floor.
• Receive donations from the public.
• Sort donations and organize merchandise.
• Operate cash register and balance cash at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the store.
• Meet daily production goals.
