Job summary

Goodwill Southern New England is seeking a Store Associate in Connecticut to support daily store operations, process donations, and handle customer transactions on the POS system. You will help display merchandise and maintain a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers.

Under supervision of the Store Manager, you may assist with receiving donations, pricing items, and keeping the sales floor clean. Weekend and evening hours are required; benefits include tuition reimbursement, retirement

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to communicate with customers in one-on-one situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in store operations including receiving and processing donations, pricing items, and displaying merchandise.
• Complete sales transactions on the POS system with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Provide courteous customer service to shoppers and donors and maintain a clean, safe store environment.
• Assist with light maintenance, safety procedures, and proper lifting techniques as needed.
