Job summary

Goodwill of Southern New England is seeking a Store Associate to support daily retail operations, including receiving donations, processing sales on the POS, and maintaining an inviting store environment.

The role involves assisting customers, stocking and pricing merchandise, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. Weekend and evening shifts are common; prior retail experience is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• One to three months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and push heavy crates as needed.
• Regular weekend, holiday and evening hours are typical in retail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in store operations: receive and process donations and complete sales on POS.
• Display items, price and merchandise on the sales floor; maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Assist shoppers on the sales floor and at checkout with accuracy and courtesy.
• Protect store assets and follow safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Support general maintenance and curbside pickup activities as needed.
