Job summary

Goodwill Southern New England is seeking a Store Associate to support all non-management store operations, including processing donations, sales at the POS, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space for donors and customers.

Under supervision, you will help display items, pull merchandise, and assist with general store duties while delivering friendly customer service and following safety procedures. Weekend/evening hours are common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Students under 18 may be hired part-time but cannot operate hazardous equipment and must follow CT DOL hours rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving and processing donations and completing sales on the POS system.
• Display, price and pull merchandise from the sales floor; maintain floor appearance.
• Provide safe, clean and welcoming environment for donors and shoppers.
• Assist shoppers and donors with questions; protect agency assets at checkout.
• Perform light maintenance and general store upkeep as needed.
