Job summary

Goodwill Southern Los Angeles County Store Associate is responsible for assisting customers and supporting daily store operations under the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. The role includes stocking merchandise, operating the cash register, and ensuring accuracy of transactions while following company procedures.

The position requires fluent English, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Cross-training for other retail tasks and maintaining a clean, safe store are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers.
• Stock and rotate merchandise.
• Run the cash register as assigned.
• Responsible for the accuracy of transactions when assigned to register and adherence to company check and credit card procedures.
• Report safety hazards and all accidents to Management immediately.
• Maintains the store in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, which may include daily floor mopping and related tasks as assigned.
• Assist in receiving new merchandise and processing incoming merchandise.
• Provide customer service in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.
• The Store Associate may be cross trained for other retail functions and required to perform assigned tasks to standards.
• Answer the telephone in a courteous manner.
• Attends general store meetings as assigned.
• Attends general departmental and safety meetings as required.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.
