Job summary

Goodwill Southern Los Angeles County is seeking a Store Associate to support daily store operations under the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. You will assist customers, stock merchandise, handle register duties, and ensure accurate transactions with a focus on safety and cleanliness.

The role involves cross-training for other retail tasks, participating in meetings, and delivering friendly, professional customer service in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Use of cash register and calculator /10 key necessary.
• Accuracy of work is essential.
• Able to answer the telephone.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise.
• Runs the cash register as assigned.
• Ensures accuracy of transactions when at the register.
• Reports safety hazards and accidents to Management.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe store environment.
• Assists in receiving new merchandise and processing incoming goods.
• Provides customer service in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.
• May be cross trained for other retail functions and perform assigned tasks to standards.
• Attends store and departmental/safety meetings.
