Job summary

Goodwill Southern Los Angeles County is seeking a Store Associate in California to support daily store operations. You will assist customers, stock merchandise, and operate the cash register with accuracy while following company procedures.

You will maintain a clean store environment, handle merchandise processing, and provide friendly, professional service. Cross-training for other tasks and participation in meetings are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise.
• Runs the cash register as assigned.
• Responsible for the accuracy of transactions when assigned to register and adherence to company check and credit card procedures.
• Report safety hazards and all accidents to Management immediately.
• Maintains the store in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, which may include daily floor mopping and related tasks as assigned.
• Assist in receiving new merchandise and processing incoming merchandise.
• Provide customer service in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.
• The Store Associate may be cross trained for other retail functions and required to perform assigned tasks to standards.
• Answer the telephone in a courteous manner.
• Attends general store meetings as assigned.
• Attends general departmental and safety meetings as required.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.
