Job summary

Goodwill Southern Los Angeles County is seeking a Store Associate to support daily store operations, assist customers, and work with the Store Manager to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities include stocking merchandise, operating the cash register, processing transactions accurately, answering phones, and providing courteous service. You may train for other retail tasks and participate in meetings.

• Able to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• The Store Associate assists customers.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise.
• Runs the cash register as assigned.
• Responsible for the accuracy of transactions when assigned to register and adherence to company check and credit card procedures.
• Report safety hazards and all accidents to Management immediately.
• Maintains the store in a clean, orderly, and safe manner, which may include daily floor mopping and related tasks as assigned.
• Assist in receiving new merchandise and processing incoming merchandise.
• Provide customer service in a positive, professional, and courteous manner.
• The Store Associate may be cross trained for other retail functions and required to perform assigned tasks to standards.
• Answer the telephone in a courteous manner.
• Attends general store meetings as assigned.
• Attends general departmental and safety meetings as required.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.
