Job summary

Target is seeking a Small Format Team Leader to oversee daily store operations in a fast-paced environment, guiding a team of hourly associates to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will lead merchandising, scheduling, training and performance coaching, while ensuring accurate pricing, stock levels and safe, compliant store practices. This role emphasizes guest service, teamwork and continuous improvement across all store functions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Lead and hold others accountable.
• Learn and adapt to current technology needs.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments and ensure service standards across the store.
• Train and coach team members to maintain consistent operations.
• Plan daily/weekly workload and merchandising priorities with leadership guidance.
• Lead hourly team members, including interviewing, coaching and development.
• Maintain stock levels, pricing and promotional signage for assigned departments.
• Oversee safety, compliance and store security practices.
• Support pickup, drive-up and other guest services as needed.
