Job summary

Target is seeking a Senior Small Format Team Leader to ensure guest experience excellence and efficient operations in our smallest format stores. You will lead hourly team members, drive performance, and execute merchandising and pricing plans to meet store goals.

This role emphasizes coaching, training, and a strong focus on guest service fundamentals, accuracy in pricing, stock, and safe, compliant store operations. A high school diploma and retail leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture across the store.
• Strong retail operations knowledge including pricing, promotions and stock management.
• Experience leading a team of hourly associates, including interviewing, coaching and development.
• Ability to plan daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and goals.
• Comfort with teaching and coaching teammates and driving engagement.

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
• Ensure every team member is trained and delivers Target's guest experience commitments.
• Observe performance, provide feedback, and coach for improvement.
• Review metrics to identify gaps and drive actions that improve outcomes and guest experience.
• Plan merchandising and pricing workload to achieve department and store goals.
• Lead and develop team members in backroom and sales floor areas, ensuring inventory accuracy.
