Job summary

The UPS Store #1407 is seeking a Center Associate in a busy retail shipping and printing environment. You will receive and process packages, operate copiers/printers and POS devices, and advise customers on product options and best-value services.

The ideal candidate has retail experience, strong computer skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to learn quickly in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Retail/customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
• Friendly, professional demeanor and reliable attendance.
• Ability to learn all aspects of the business quickly.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
• Communicates effectively and practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership
• Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality
• Performs other duties as required
• May open/close the store and handle end-of-day accounting
• Helps customers with boxing/packaging and sells shipping materials
• Must enjoy working with all people
• Arrive by 8:15am (Mon-Fri) and 9:15am on Saturday; may work late hours
• Sunday hours may be required on a rotating basis
• Cleaning and trash disposal duties on a rotating basis
