Job summary

Goodwill Southern New England is seeking a Store Supervisor to assist the Store Manager in daily retail operations. The role includes helping customers and donors, processing donations, pricing items, and maintaining a safe, organized store environment.

Responsibilities also cover training staff, managing production areas, and supporting cash handling and nightly deposits. Weekend, holiday, and evening hours are common in retail operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
• Must exhibit integrity and business ethics.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and donors in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Maximize used goods processing by sorting, preparing and pricing items for sale.
• Ensure store and premises are neat, clean, safe, and compliant with procedures.
• Assist in unloading trucks and sorting new arrivals.
• Train new employees and maintain production areas for efficient operations.
• Handle cash, close out registers, and make nightly deposits as required.
• Oversee store operations in the Store Manager's absence, including opening/closing, directing staff, and enforcing policies.
