Job summary

Break Time is hiring a Shift Leader to support daily store operations, customer service, and merchandising at our convenience store in Missouri. You will assist with banking, inventory, and reporting while supervising shifts in the manager’s absence.

Strong cash-handling skills, teamwork, and the ability to learn POS systems are essential. The role requires flexibility for weekends and holidays and a commitment to food safety and excellent service.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Friendly, customer-service oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance for bank trips
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
• Ability to lead a team and work independently
• Ability to perform quick math for cash handling and transactions
• Willingness to learn new concepts and operate computers/tech
• Accurate, with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to lift/move items in cooler/freezer environments
• Proficient in English (read/write/speak)
• Pre-employment background check and drug test
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers; greet and thank every customer.
• Assist in daily store operations, banking, inventory, and reporting; ensure cleanliness and proper hours.
• Support merchandising and promotions; stock, price, and present merchandise.
• Supervise shifts in the manager’s absence; train new team members; support food service and safety.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Understand store finances and help meet sales and controllable-expense goals; audits as needed.
