Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor for our OFallon Market Center store. You will supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, and manage daily operations while supporting the mission of changing lives through work.

The ideal candidate has retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and comfort with store technology. This is an hourly full‑time role with travel expectations and a monthly bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year retail management or related Goodwill experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Proven leadership: decision‑making, motivation, goal‑setting, problem‑solving.
• Familiarity with store technology like registers, scheduling, and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff to perform their primary functions.
• Provide excellent customer service to encourage repeat donors and shoppers and de‑escalate issues.
• Coach staff on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily duties to meet operational goals.
• Identify employees for advancement based on performance.
