Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of retail or customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months of supervisory or lead experience in retail or customer service.
• Book retail experience or active reading interest preferred.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards and procedures.
• Experience with POS systems and retail management software.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOPs during shifts with regular operational checks and coaching for associates.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and visually appealing displays; monitor equipment and report issues.
• Review timekeeping punches and monitor overtime to stay compliant with labor laws and budget goals.
• Assign tasks to associates and ensure compliant rest breaks and meals.
• Escalate performance issues to leadership and provide coaching to improve standards.
• Operate POS systems, process transactions, and maintain cash security.
