Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Store Associate to help customers, stock shelves, and operate a fast, friendly checkout. You’ll enroll shoppers in rewards programs, assist with BOPIS/SFS, and support store recovery and safety programs.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, locating products, maintaining in-stock conditions, and following SOPs while providing excellent service in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance, and return/go back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; maintain positive, respectful interactions
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
