Hy-Vee is seeking a Service Manager to keep the store running smoothly by supervising employees across all departments and ensuring prompt, friendly service. You will lead by example, manage schedules, handle customer issues, oversee merchandising and compliance, and step in wherever the store needs you most.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and making each visit a positive experience.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations to foster teamwork and accountability.
• Plan, prepare, and adjust work schedules; assign duties and ensure tasks are completed properly and on time.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of employees store-wide in the manager's absence or perform work as needed.
• Address customer issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Train workers on store policies, department procedures, and job duties; provide ongoing education on updates.
• Evaluate employee performance and consider promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
• Enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment; handle incident forms as needed.
• Order merchandise, verify deliveries, ensure quality, and report discrepancies.
• Determine locations of ads and displays; ensure product quality and quantities meet demand.
• Compile and analyze sales, inventory, and display data for decisions.
• Review personnel records for completeness and payroll basics.
