Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This role may assume shift management in their absence.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience preferred (desirable).
• Automotive knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure execution of customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently according to procedure.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
• Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure staff adhere to posted schedules and clock in/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, secure money/deposits, and lock up procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
