Job summary

Michaels is hiring for an in-store role focused on keeping our retail space clean and inviting while delivering friendly customer service. You will assist customers, maintain cleanliness, and support store operations including returns, rewards enrollment, and omni-channel tasks.

The position involves standing for long periods, lifting, and working with cleaning chemicals in a climate-controlled environment. Evening/weekend hours are possible.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of store appearance and cleanliness.
• Provide friendly customer service and help customers find products.
• Collect and dispose of trash; dust and mop floors per procedures.
• Move equipment and products; ensure correct placement after cleaning.
• Deep clean key areas (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways) for a safe environment.
• Notify supervisor when supplies are low and assist with replenishment.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS, Ship from Store) and cash handling.
• Engage with customers about Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
