Job summary

Citi Trends, Inc. is seeking a Store Sales Associate to join our Champaign store. You will help customers, process transactions, assist with pricing changes and merchandising, and maintain store cleanliness and safety.

The role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, the ability to work nights and weekends, and basic math for checkout and discounts. Prior retail experience is a plus, and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).

Responsibilities

• Process freight and aid with price changes/markdowns.
• Balance register according to company policy and handle transactions.
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Provide customer service: greet customers, assist fitting room policies, and invite return visits.
• Assist management in merchandising on the sales floor and stock level management.
• Assist with loss prevention procedures and report incidents of theft or dishonesty.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear name tag.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with store cleanliness and maintenance.
