Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Houston, TX seeks a Retail Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in, phone, and email customers. You will assist with product selection, pricing, availability, and returns, and you will enter orders and coordinate deliveries.

You will quote small projects, plan your daily workflow to meet targets, help with workshops, maintain store appearance, and uphold safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with six months sales experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of company products, pricing, discounts, and estimating formulas.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service to retail customers via walk-in, phone or email.
• Assists with product selection, pricing, availability, refunds/exchanges.
• Enters orders into system and schedules delivery of products.
• Plans and paces own work to meet daily, weekly productivity goals.
• Coordinates and conducts customer workshops.
• Handles and resolves simple customer complaints; escalates complex issues.
• Assists with store housekeeping, signage, stocking, inventory control.
• Observes safety procedures and attends safety meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
