Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Retail Sales/Customer Service Associate to assist walk-in customers and process orders.

You will provide product recommendations, pricing information, and timely quotes for small packages, while entering orders and coordinating delivery. The role emphasizes accurate product knowledge, strong communication, and reliable service in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six (6) months sales-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of company products, pricing, discounts and estimating formulas is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence and persuade.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail customers via walk-in, phone or email.
• Sell company products/services and provide material estimates and quotes for small packages.
• Enter orders, schedule delivery, and communicate with customers about status and pricing.
• Plan and pace work to meet daily, weekly or team productivity goals.
• Assist with store housekeeping, signage, stocking and inventory control.
• Handle simple complaints and escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Operate and assist with tools/equipment as needed; ensure safety procedures.
