Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Hillside, IL is seeking a FT Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, drive sales results, and deliver an engaging customer experience through coaching and effective front-end leadership.

You will oversee SOPs, POS operations, loyalty programs, and omni-channel fulfillment while ensuring asset protection and staff development through onboarding and continuous training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of store policies and standards; hold team accountable for conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage; maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions and support.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (balloons, birthday parties).
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Drive omni-channel service like BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
