Job summary

Michaels Stores in Howell, NJ is seeking a Store Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales, and deliver an engaging customer experience. You will oversee front-end and service operations, ensure adherence to SOPs and brand standards, and coach a team to meet store KPIs.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, strong coaching skills, and the ability to work standing long hours, nights, weekends, and early mornings in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods, work nights/weekends/early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Lead adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure legal compliance and store standards.
• Ensure execution of policies and brand standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service continuity.
• Ensure efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems to support smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, Birthday parties, Knit & Sew Shop, BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
