Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager at our Auburn, ME store to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive strong sales, customer experience, and omni-channel service. You’ll coach teams, manage front-end operations, and ensure brand standards while supporting key KPIs and daily execution.

Responsibilities include SOP adherence, POS usage, and overseeing store programs like Balloons and crafts. Expect evening/weekend hours with a dynamic, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure legal and policy compliance.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, and accountability for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems and support customer transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs like Balloons, birthday party ops, and events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Drive sales and omni-channel service in BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train and develop team members across assigned departments.
• Support Asset Protection and shrink reduction through compliant practices.
