Job summary

Soma in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Sales Lead to partner with store leaders, supervise the team, and model customer-centered hospitality. You will guide daily operations, coach staff, and ensure brand standards while delivering memorable shopping experiences that reflect our culture.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of retail leadership, strong communication, and a passion for fashion and confidence-building. Regular/Part time role on-site.

Qualifications

• 2 years retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Team player mindset with ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store leadership team with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
• Lead by example on the sales floor and provide product knowledge.
• Coach and encourage the team to stay on track with performance goals.
• Execute operations activities such as cash handling, scheduling, inventory, and replenishment.
• Be knowledgeable about current sales, promotions and store policies.
• Support associate development and scheduling when needed.
• Contribute ideas to the store leadership team and foster teamwork.
