Job summary

Soma is seeking a Sales Lead in Lansing, MI to partner with store leadership, supervise the team, and set the tone for a welcoming, customer‑driven experience. You will coach staff, manage daily operations, and ensure adherence to brand standards while delivering personalized service and driving sales.

This role requires 2 years of retail leadership experience, flexible availability, and a comfortable approach to merchandising, cash handling, and inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail management experience or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Team player with high ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leadership with general operations, including opening/closing.
• Lead by example on the sales floor and coach team members.
• Share brand priorities and messages with store teams.
• Provide scheduling support and help manage inventory and cash handling.
• Ensure knowledge of current promotions and store policies.
• Support development of associates and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Contribute ideas to store leadership and help maintain a hospitable, customer-centered environment.
