Job summary

West Marine is seeking a Sales Lead to oversee store operations, help achieve sales goals, manage inventory, and deliver high-level customer service. The role blends leadership with selling skills to strengthen customer relationships and drive performance on the sales floor.

Under general supervision, you will coach Crew Members, greet customers, process transactions, and ensure a clean, compliant store environment while supporting omni-fulfillment and promotional programs.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent sales and customer service abilities are expected.
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills with delegation experience.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.

Responsibilities

• Guide and develop Crew Members for excellent store operations and customer service.
• Lead by example, engaging customers to fulfill boating needs and drive sales.
• Train Crew Members to handle transactions and provide exceptional service.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing Crew Members.
• Oversee front-end activities, including greeting customers and processing transactions.
• Provide high-level customer support with expertise in boating products.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized store while complying with safety standards.
• Support Omni-Fulfillment and promotional programs.
