Job summary

Michaels is hiring a Retail Associate for the Southington, CT store. You will help customers locate products, provide friendly checkout experiences, and promote the Michaels Rewards program. You will participate in unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and maintaining a well-merchandised store while following SOPs.

Flexibility for early mornings, weekends, and nights is required; prior retail or customer service experience is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to assist customers with locating products and solutions.
• Strong cash handling and checkout skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experience and accurate cash handling.
• Engage customers in Rewards program enrollment and private label cards.
• Support omni-channel processes including BOPIS and SFS.
• Assist with truck unload, stocking, and planograms (POGs).
• Maintain in-stock, well-merchandised store; follow SOPs and safety policies.
• Cross-train in framing selling and production as needed.
