Job summary

Rent-A-Center is seeking a Sales Assistant Manager in a full-time capacity in the Norfolk area. You will drive sales growth through rental agreements, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and support merchandising and deliveries in-store and in customers’ homes.

You will manage day-to-day activities, build client relationships, and uphold safety and quality standards. This role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and a proactive approach to customer service.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail/customer service, sales, or collections experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid state driver’s license and good driving record -- You WILL be driving the company vehicles.
• Ability to lift and move product such as furniture, electronics, and appliances.
• Great communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Sales: Drive growth through completed rental agreements and new business prospects.
• Customer Service: Deliver friendly, high-quality experiences with a servant’s heart in stores and in customers’ homes.
• Deliveries & Pickups: Safely load/unload and install products while following all handling and transportation procedures.
• Merchandising: Keep the store inviting, organized, and clean for customers and coworkers.
