Job summary

The Children's Place is seeking a Sales Associate in Central Valley, NY to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver exceptional customer service. You will use product knowledge and effective selling techniques to assist customers and promote promotions.

The role requires maintaining merchandise presentation, replenishing stock, and keeping the store and backroom neat, organized, and safe while adhering to safety and loss prevention standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with urgency and prioritize helping customers over other tasks.
• Greet customers and provide the appropriate level of service.
• Communicate value and promotions and offer solutions for out-of-stock items when needed.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment and professionalism.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Assist at the cashwrap, explain the PLACE Card benefits, and process transactions.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards for presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, organized, and safe; maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Follow Loss Prevention procedures to protect assets.
• Inform leadership of maintenance needs to keep the store safe.
• Contribute to store goals through focused efforts.
• Handle stock processing as needed.
