Job summary

The Children's Place in Hyattsville, MD seeks a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to drive results.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenishment, and accurate sizing, keep the store clean, and help ensure a safe, organized stockroom. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and variable shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency, prioritizing assistance.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Communicate value of merchandise and current promotions; offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure size/style representation.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized; maintain a customer-ready environment and safety compliance.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Protect company assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts.
• Process stock as needed with flexibility.
