Job summary

The Children’s Place in Oxon Hill, MD is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will provide excellent customer service, apply product knowledge, and promote current promotions while maintaining merchandise presentation, replenishment, and store cleanliness.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, guiding them through purchases, supporting stock and backroom operations, and ensuring a safe, organized shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing appropriate level of service.
• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Communicate value and promotions; propose solutions for out of stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate on PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes/styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards and signage.
• Keep stockroom neat, organized, and safe; maintain customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute toward store goals with focused efforts.
• Process stock flexibly as needed.
