Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a store associate to deliver friendly, attentive service while processing sales and supporting operations. You will ring up purchases, assist shoppers with finding items, and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers and teammates.
• Strong customer service and complaint resolution skills.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 7 hours) and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Basic computer and internet use proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to customers in-store, outside, and on the phone.
• Ensure merchandise is on the sales floor promptly and accurately rung at the register.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately with calculator use as needed.
• Keep floors neat and assist customers with selections.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and store area.
• Support general housekeeping and store upkeep tasks as directed.
