Citi Trends is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain strong product knowledge to ensure high customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive, vigilant approach, integrity, and effective communication in a fast-paced retail setting.

The Sales Associate will help build a positive work culture, drive employee involvement, and support change management within the retail organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assists with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Maintains a professional appearance with name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock levels.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures to prevent shoplifting and cash losses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
