Job Title

Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate

Compensation: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour plus commission. Your hourly wage can be increased by up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.03 per hour on top of your base rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our nationwide pawn store locations. As a Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate, you will partner with the entire store team to deliver excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Your role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and other transactions involving jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with all customers, building rapport to recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions following established policies and regulations.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, using respect and effective tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive, memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• Willing to assist customers in exterior areas of the building if required.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math calculation proficiency.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed commission plans will be provided during the interview process.
