Job summary

AbleLight is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Michigan to provide fast, friendly service to customers and donors. You will maintain a welcoming, clean environment and support donation processes within a nonprofit retail setting.

Responsibilities include operating the register, assisting donors, stocking shelves, and participating in fundraising activities. Flexible hours and a store discount are among benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Stand on your feet for up to eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere for customers and donors.
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer and respond to telephone customers professionally.
• Assist donors with their donations and transfer merchandise from donor vehicle to the building.
• Provide tax receipts to every donor and keep the donation center organized.
• Assist in stocking the sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
• Support fundraising efforts through round ups at the register and other events.

Responsibilities

• The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere where our customers and donors feel welcome and comfortable. Responsibilities include:
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer and respond to telephone customers in professional manner.
• Support donors with their donations: Transfer merchandise from donor vehicle to building and offers tax receipts to every donor. Keeps inside and outside of donation center organized and clean.
• Assist in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
• Actively participate and support raising funds for the AbleLight charity through “round ups” at the register and other events initiated by AbleLight.
