Job summary

AbleLight in Minnetonka, MN seeks a friendly Retail Sales Associate to provide fast, courteous service to customers and donors in a busy nonprofit store.

You will operate the cash register, help stock shelves, assist with donations, and participate in fundraising efforts while upholding a safe, welcoming environment. Must be at least 14, able to lift 40 lbs, and stand for long shifts. Flexible hours and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be 14 years of age or older.
• Able to lift 40 lbs as needed.
• Stand on feet for up to eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, clean, safe store experience for customers and donors.
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer telephone inquiries professionally.
• Assist donors with merchandise pickups and provide tax receipts.
• Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain displays.
• Support fundraising efforts through store activities and events.

Responsibilities:

• The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere where our customers and donors feel welcome and comfortable. Responsibilities include:
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer and respond to telephone customers in professional manner.
• Support donors with their donations: Transfer merchandise from donor vehicle to building and offers tax receipts to every donor. Keeps inside and outside of donation center organized and clean.
• Assist in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
• Actively participate and support raising funds for the AbleLight charity through “round ups” at the register and other events initiated by AbleLight.
