AbleLight in Wisconsin is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to deliver fast, friendly service to customers and donors, helping maintain a welcoming store environment.

You will handle cash transactions, assist donors, and participate in fundraising activities, with a focus on accuracy and customer care. This role supports a nonprofit that serves the community and offers benefits like store discounts and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 14 years or older.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Stand on your feet for up to eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere for customers and donors.
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer calls in a professional manner.
• Assist donors with donations and provide tax receipts.
• Stock, rotate, and organize merchandise on the sales floor.
• Support fundraising through round-ups at the register and events.
• May have other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for creating a friendly, clean, and safe atmosphere where our customers and donors feel welcome and comfortable. Responsibilities include:
• Operate cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Answer and respond to telephone customers in professional manner.
• Support donors with their donations: Transfer merchandise from donor vehicle to building and offers tax receipts to every donor. Keeps inside and outside of donation center organized and clean.
• Assist in stocking sales floor, stock rotation, displays and organization of merchandise.
• Actively participate and support raising funds for the AbleLight charity through “round ups” at the register and other events initiated by AbleLight.
• This list does not contain all responsibilities of a Retail Sales Associate. There may be other duties assigned during the workday.
