Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Las Cruces, NM. You will guide store guests, inspire with home furnishings, and help customers design rooms they will love to live in. This fast-paced, high-energy role rewards world-class service and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.

You’ll process sales, assist with financing, participate in opening/closing duties, and contribute to inventory and loss prevention efforts while exceeding sales goals.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• Ability to lift, tug and pull 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests; guide them to products and answer questions.
• Process sales orders accurately and efficiently; assist with financing as needed.
• Maintain a welcoming front desk presence and deliver world-class service.
• Address customer concerns independently when possible.
• Assist with store opening/closing, cash reconciliation, and daily checklists.
• Support inventory management and loss prevention activities, including bi-annual checks.
• Strive to meet and exceed sales goals and KPI targets.

What You’ll Do

• Provide outstanding service experience for every customer and guest. Maintain a welcoming, professional, visible presence at the front desk; engage with guests, ensuring they are always treated in a cordial, respectful manner representing the Company’s brand image.
• Accurately and efficiently process sales orders, adhering to cash handling protocols. Aid customers with credit applications and financing matters as required while maintaining thorough documentation of sales transactions.
• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible.
• Aid in store opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and completion of daily checklists.
• Support inventory management and loss prevention procedures, including participation in bi-annual inventory checks.
• Meet and exceed sales goals, align to KPI’s and performance standards.
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.
