Job summary

Summitbsa is seeking friendly, customer-focused staff to deliver an exceptional shopping and guest experience at our camp store. You will operate the Retail Pro POS, process sales, restock inventory, provide directions, and maintain a clean, safe work area while modeling the Scout Oath and Law.

Housing is provided in Staff Camp, uniforms are supplied, and work hours range from 45 to 55 per week. Applicants must be 18+, pass background screening, and be willing to join Scouting America as part of

• General computer skills.
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (background screening).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily communication.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Retail Pro point-of-sale (register) system
• Process sales, including cash & credit card transactions
• Restock inventory
• Provide camp information and directions to guests' questions
• Provide a friendly and enthusiastic environment with a genuine interest in our guests
• Reduce inventory shrinkage with diligent stock management and loss prevention strategies
• Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
• Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
• Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18+
• General computer skills
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

Physical & Practical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 9 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds
• Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
• Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
