Job summary

Summitbsa is seeking staff to provide housekeeping and hospitality for a family glamping experience. The role involves cleaning lodgings and public spaces, handling linen, and setting up tents in a camp environment.

You will assist guests using reservation software, maintain grounds, and uphold Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions. Housing and uniform are provided, with 45–55 hour work weeks and a team-focused, fast-paced atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Willing to become registered Scouting America member (background screening).
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure lodgings and public areas are kept clean according to standards.
  • Deliver quality linen cleaning, folding, and inventory using industrial laundry machines.
  • Strip, reset, and set up glamping tents according to housekeeping standards.
  • Assist guests, check in through reservation software, and prepare lodging spaces for guests.
  • Clean bathrooms and shower facilities according to daily and weekly checklists.
  • Maintain grounds around camp to standard (weeding, sweeping, etc.).
  • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership.
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook.

Position Overview

Provide unique and enriching glamping experiences for families through housekeeping and hospitality excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all lodgings and public areas are kept clean and according to standards
  • Deliver excellent quality linen cleaning, folding, and inventory. Using industrial laundry machines.
  • Strip, reset, and set-up glamping tents according to housekeeping standards
  • Assist with guests, check in through reservation software and prepare lodging spaces for guests
  • Clean bathroom and shower facilities according to daily and weekly checklists
  • Maintain grounds around camp to standard (pulling weeds, cleaning, sweeping, etc.)
  • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
  • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
  • Minimum age: 18+
  • Required: Valid U.S. driver's license

Physical & Practical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
  • Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55
