Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Team Leader to guide department associates in daily operations, merchandising, and customer service. You will drive sales, manage inventory, and execute planograms while coaching staff to achieve store goals.

You will participate in interviewing, training, and scheduling, ensuring a positive, service-oriented environment and leading by example in customer interactions and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate figures and percentages such as discounts, commissions and percentages.
• Ability to read and analyze certain reports.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, associates, customers and the public.
• Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups.
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic POS and inventory management systems.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships with coworkers, customers and corporate staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily direction to department associates.
• Prepares to-do / task lists and executes merchandising directives.
• Staffs the department with service-oriented associates; participates in interviewing and training; coordinates schedules.
• Assists in selection and training input, evaluates performance and resolves problems.
• Maintains high level of customer service and helps customers make buying decisions.
• Assists in coordinating special events; maintains pricing and UPC integrity; ensures accurate inventory and displays.
