Job summary

Phillips Edison & Company seeks a capable Assistant Property Manager to support a regional retail portfolio based in Charlotte, NC. You will assist senior managers with daily property operations, tenant relations, vendor coordination, and capital project tasks while maintaining a high level of service to neighbors and tenants.

Travel up to 25% is required. The role emphasizes organization, timely communication, and collaborative teamwork within the Property Management department.

Qualifications

• This position requires a minimum of 2 years of real estate experience supporting property operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with associates at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with Nexus Payables and MRI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day property operations at the center under VP and Senior PM oversight.
• Coordinate property inspections, vendor selections, service contracts, and management of property services.
• Support open items follow-up, tenant inquiries, and issue resolution while maintaining professionalism.
• Maintain tenant/vendor contact information and run monthly financial reports from Nexus/MRI.
• Travel up to 25% and provide administrative support including mail, documents, and utility coordination.
