Job summary

Urban Edge Properties in Lanham, MD is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of retail centers. You will work with the Regional Director, conduct property inspections, assist with budgets, oversee vendor coordination, and maintain tenant relations.

The role emphasizes learning, discretion, and strong communication as you gain responsibility for more properties, help manage service contracts, and ensure properties meet standards for safety,

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in property management or related field.
• Basic understanding of building systems and vendor coordination.
• Exposure to retail or commercial real estate is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular property inspections and report findings.
• Assist with annual operating budgets and capital plans.
• Coordinate with tenants, vendors, and internal partners.
• Support lease compliance and landlord work coordination.
• Assist with tenant move-ins/move-outs and project tracking.
• Maintain records of operations, contracts, and communications.
• Support ESG initiatives and sustainability programs.
